Florida is a state with a pretty active gambling scene. It has its fair share of casinos, horse tracks, dog tracks and lotteries.

However, Florida is also one of just three states in the United States that has a prohibition law in place regarding Internet poker.

While it is illegal for anyone to run an online poker site or an online casino from within the borders of Florida, there is no law in place making it illegal for players to play at one of the US friendly offshore poker sites or casinos.
